Inspired by the work of Rudolf Steiner, the Threefold Educational Center strives to nurture and initiate educational programs exploring and enriching the human body, soul and spirit.
The Fellowship Community, founded in 1966, is a community of all ages, centered around the care of the elderly. About 150 elderly, children and coworkers live in a rural setting of farm, woods and orchards about 30 miles north-west of New York City. Working and learning together in service to others and in caring for the earth is the central motif of the community life. Those who are interested in a path of self-development in the process of building and maintaining community might find this a place of interest.
Ruskin Mill College was founded over 16 years ago with an algae-covered pond, a broken mill wheel and a building in need of major restoration. Spearheaded by Aonghus Gordon, director, and a small group of young craftspeople, the buildings were prepared for the first intake of students who also participated in the early stages of creating an Educational and Cultural Centre
The SEKEM initiative began on the main farm near Belbes, 60 km. north-east of Cairo in Egypt. Biodynamic methods of agriculture have been developed, which are suited to the different Egyptian climates.
SEKEM seeks to enhance and bring about a greater integration of the Arts, Religion and Sciences, by establishing and promoting institutions related to education, applied research and health care. A holistic vision, encompassing economic, social and cultural endeavours with the main aim to develop the people, SEKEM means Vitality from the sun.
The Hiberniaschule is a integrated nationally recognized comprehensive school of its own kind after the Pedagogy of Rudolf Steiner and as a model school for vocational and general education. It was developed since 1952 from an operational training workshop. Practical, artistic and theoretical learning are closely the connected bases of our school.
